INSPIRATION FROM YOUR TRAVEL PHOTOS

Many of my quilts start from one or more of my travel photos. The technique I use is nothing more than a pencil and tracing paper. The traced images are easy to arrange in a pleasing composition. By using your copy machine the tracings can be enlarged or reduced while arranging them in a composition. You will ultimately create a simple outline that you will use as your base. Color can be added with crayons and embellishments such as cheesecloth, vintage sheet music and photo transfers can be attached using polymer medium. This is one class that I will be teaching in January at Craft Napa. Come join us!

    Welcome to my blog!

I love creating art- especially quilts.
    Usually I work on
    3-5 quilts at a time.
They are all at different stages so I am never bored. Everyone asks
me how long it takes to make a quilt-- I've
    never timed myself
because each quilt I create comes from my heart. Between working on quilts I relax by cooking and taking pilates classes.
